Research

ARACY, with support from Western Sydney University, is conducting research across two sites as part of the Maximising the Middle Initiative.

The study involves:

• A parent survey for parents and carers of children in the middle years living in the Penrith and Campbelltown LGAs
• Interviews with educators, community service providers, and health workers who support young people in the middle years within these communities
• Surveys and focus groups with students in Years 3–9 at participating schools

The aim of this research is to understand both the needs and the strengths of young people in the middle years across the two sites, and to identify areas where positive change can be made within their communities.
